Key Responsibilities
This person will be responsible for overall tool room operations like mold manufacturing, mould development, mould maintenance & mould design in injection plastic moulding.
- Lead overall Tool Room and Mould Design activities.
- Design, develop, manufacture and maintain plastic injection moulds.
- Handle complex moulds including multi-cavity, hot runner, stack and unscrewing moulds.
- Develop mould concepts covering feeding, cooling, slider, ejector and parting mechanisms.
- Prepare 3D product and mould models using VISI / UG-NX / other CAD-CAM software.
- Coordinate mould trials, troubleshooting, corrections and finalization.
- Manage mould maintenance, spare planning and mould life improvement.




- Support new product development and prototyping from concept to production.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, R&D; and Marketing for product/tooling requirements.
- Manage Tool Room manpower, machines, materials, cutting tools and external vendors.
- Plan and monitor CNC machining, tool manufacturing and repair activities.
- Analyze inspection reports and implement corrective actions on the shop floor.
- Drive implementation of current tooling technologies, cost reduction and continuous improvement.
- Lead and develop a team of tool designers, programmers, engineers and technicians.
