About Artist in Me

Artist in Me (AIM) is a new, bootstrapped startup building a creative lifestyle brand and launching its social media presence across multiple platforms.

We're looking for a Social Media Videographer & Editor who can not only shoot and edit great content, but also understand how to create content that grows organically.

This is an opportunity to join AIM at an early stage and play an significant role in building our social media presence from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

Video Production
- Plan and shoot social media content, primarily on weekends.
- Handle camera setup, lighting, audio and basic production requirements.
- Shoot short-form content/Reels/Shorts as well as long-form YouTube videos.
- Capture different formats, angles, B-roll and behind-the-scenes content.

Video Editing
- Edit long-form YouTube videos.
- Edit Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other short-form content.
- Create engaging cuts, transitions, captions, graphics, sound effects and music.
- Adapt content appropriately for different platforms and formats.




- Create thumbnails and/or work with designers to develop effective thumbnails.

Social Media & Content Growth
- Develop and execute a social media content strategy across YouTube, Instagram and other relevant platforms.
- Research trending formats, sounds, topics, challenges and content styles relevant to our audience.
- Understand what makes a strong hook, thumbnail, title and opening.
- Identify opportunities to improve watch time, retention, engagement, shares and saves.
- Analyse content performance and use insights to improve future videos.
- Experiment with different formats and concepts to identify what works.
- Keep up with changing social media trends and platform algorithms.
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form pieces.
- Contribute ideas for new video concepts, challenges, series and recurring content formats.
