- To take over and hand over the patient to the floors/ ICU.
- · Maintain a clean and sterile OT at all times.
- · Check and maintain all records of OT equipment and take necessary actions whenever required
- · Plan and schedule all OT supplies/ instruments/ equipment effectively so that they are optimally utilized. Maintain the OT records with respect to patients and equipment as per policy
- · Plan and schedule manpower for surgeries effectively without wastage of time and manpower.
- · Managing and providing supportive staff during critical incidents/ emergency situations.
- · Be open to discuss any sentinel events/ near misses for promoting corrective action and ensuring high quality patient care.
- · To assist in ensuring OT policies and procedures are followed at all times
- · Ensure identification safety for collection of specimens during collection and till the report informed to consultant.




- · Participate in consultant’s rounds and assist by giving relevant information based on nursing assessment/reassessment and observations.
- · Carry out routine check at each handover that all equipments are in working order.
- · Maintain patients and accompanies safety by taking preventive measures against accidents.
- · Accurately records and reports incidents. Ensure every error to be recorded.
- · Ensure strict infection control protocol and bio-waste guidelines to be followed for 24x7.
- Ensure that daily briefing points and sign off are mandatory for day-to-day update.
