This vacancy is primarily for a mariadb database admin.

Job type : Part-time contract based - 6 months - renewable for next 6 months (subject to perf)

Vacancy : 1

Nature of Job : work from home (WFH)

Work hours : 6 hours

2nd and 4th Saturdays will be off.

Candidate will have to sign a NDA and NCA.

Job gap is okay, fake exp is obv not.

Suited candidates will be contacted for a telephonic interview.

Technical Skills required

Knowledge of Mariadb (primary skill)

Knowledge of postgresql and a NoSQL database (Mongodb) will be a plus.

Knowledge of basic CRUD operations.

Knowledge of triggers and procedures.

Knowledge of sharding for nosql databases will be a plus.

Manage database performance, reliability, and backup processes.

Manage database security,



access, and user privileges (roles and perms).

Assist in database deployments, patching, and upgrades.

Manage database backups and recovery.

Perform routine database backups, restores, and recovery procedures.

Optimize SQL queries and troubleshoot database issues.

Maintain documentation for configurations and operations.

Collaborate with repository maintainers and sysadmins to improve database workflows.

Good with troubleshooting issues.

Soft skills needed

Positive ability to work in a team as well as individually.

Preferably having fluent written and spoken english.
