Role Overview

The Assistant Manager Finance & Accounts will be responsible for end-to-end accounting operations, vendor management, monthly financial closures, audit coordination, statutory compliance, MIS reporting, and financial analysis. The role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced startup workplace.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Book Closure
- Ensure accurate accounting of all business transactions.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books.
- Review journal entries, provisions, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset register and supporting schedules.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of financial records.

2. Vendor Management & Accounts Payable
- Manage vendor onboarding and documentation.
- Verify invoices and coordinate approvals.
- Monitor vendor ageing and payment schedules.
- Resolve vendor queries and reconciliation issues.
- Ensure timely processing of payments.

3. Audit & Compliance
- Coordinate with statutory auditors, internal auditors, and consultants.




- Prepare audit schedules and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Companies Act requirements.
- Assist in implementation and monitoring of internal controls.

4. MIS & Financial Analysis
- Prepare monthly MIS and management reports.
- Analyze revenue, costs, margins, profitability, and business performance.
- Conduct variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
- Provide actionable insights to management for decision-making.

5. Treasury & Working Capital
- Monitor cash flow and fund utilization.
- Track receivables, payables, and working capital metrics.
- Coordinate with banks and financial institutions.
- Support fund-raising, lender reporting, and due diligence exercises when required.

6. Process Improvement & Automation
- Develop and implement finance SOPs.
- Drive process automation and ERP improvements.
