Payment Posting Executive U.S Medical Billing (US Healthcare) | Chennai

Job Description

We are hiring Payment Posting Executives for our US Healthcare Medical Billing (RCM) process in Chennai. The role involves accurate posting of insurance and patient payments, ERAs/EOBs, adjustments, and denials into the billing system in line with client-specific guidelines and turnaround times.

Candidates with 15 years of hands-on payment posting / cash posting experience in US medical billing are preferred. Immediate joiners will be given priority.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Post insurance payments and patient payments accurately from EOBs, ERAs (835 files), and check/lockbox scans
- Perform both manual posting and electronic (auto) posting; review and clear auto-posting exceptions
- Post contractual adjustments, write-offs, refunds, takebacks/recoupments, and interest payments correctly
- Apply correct denial codes (CARC/RARC) and route denied claims to the AR/Denials team for follow-up
- Balance and reconcile daily batches against deposits, remittances,



and bank statements; ensure zero variance
- Identify underpayments, overpayments, and short payments and escalate as per client protocol
- Handle patient responsibility postings copay, coinsurance, and deductible
- Process secondary/tertiary claim crossovers after primary payment posting
- Maintain minimum 98% accuracy and meet daily production targets
- Prepare and share daily production, reconciliation, and unposted cash reports with the Team Lead
- Ensure complete adherence to HIPAA compliance and client confidentiality norms

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: 1-5 years in Payment Posting / Cash Posting in US Medical Billing (Freshers not eligible)
- Education: Any Graduate
- Robust understanding of EOB / ERA (835) reading and interpretation
- Working knowledge of CARC & RARC denial codes, adjustment codes, and the US Healthcare RCM cycle
- Familiarity with billing software
