Senior Software Engineer Parsing & Connectors

About the role You'll own how our Percept platform connects to the outside world. Two parts:
- Parsers (JavaScript) — read raw log data from many systems and convert it into a clean, standard format.
- Connectors (Java) — integrate with external tools. Some bring data *in* (logs for XDR, exposure and vulnerability data for CTEM). Others send commands *out* to take action (for SOAR — like blocking an IP, disabling a user, or isolating a device).

You'll build both, fix problems, keep quality high, and guide junior engineers.

What you'll do
- Write and maintain JavaScript parsers for many log formats (syslog, CEF, JSON, and more)
- Build and maintain Java connectors that:
- pull in logs, asset, and vulnerability data (XDR, CTEM)
- send response actions to external security tools (SOAR)
- Work with external APIs — fetch data, run actions, handle logins and errors
- Find and fix issues — wrong field mapping, timezone errors, encoding problems, slow performance across 200+ parsers




- Set the standards for how parsers and connectors are built
- Make sure data and actions are correct and reliable
- Review the work of junior engineers

What we need
- 5+ years of software engineering experience
- Positive in both Java and JavaScript (or very strong in one and quick to learn the other)
- Excellent with regex and working with text and data
- Strong with APIs — fetching data, running actions, handling authentication
- Good understanding of log formats, timezones, and character encoding
- Careful and thorough — you test with real data, not assumptions

Nice to have
- Experience in security or SIEM/SOAR tools (Splunk, Elastic, Graylog, etc.)
- Experience with high-volume data pipelines
- Knowledge of Python (helpful for related work)
