Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fixture Designer to support SMT, Module, and FATP hardware test engineering (HWTE) stations. The role requires end-to-end fixture design ownership, factory build support, vendor coordination, and hands-on execution during product build phases. The resource will work closely with HWTE teams, contract manufacturers, and fixture vendors.

Experience Profile:
- Mid to Senior-level Mechanical Design Engineer (final level to be determined after assessment).
- Solid mechanical fixture design background in manufacturing or product development environments.
- Experience with:
- MCAD tools (3D & 2D design)
- GD&T; and tolerance analysis
- Mechanical fabrication methods
- Fixture and mechanism design
- Manufacturing/build support
- Experience with mechanical control systems is desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

Fixture Design & Development:
- Design and optimize test fixtures for HWTE stations.




- Perform DFM reviews and work with CM and vendors on design improvements.
- Conduct mechanical tolerance analysis using GD&T.;
- Lead design reviews covering safety, ergonomics, and functionality.
- Track issues, progress updates, and drive resolution.
- Coordinate with fixture vendors, CM teams, and stakeholders.

Build & Factory Support:
- Support mechanical OQC during fixture build phases.
- Validate fixture functionality and maintain readiness.
- Drive fixture qualification and readiness planning.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis on fixture issues.
- Recommend design improvements based on build feedback.
- Review SOPs and provide mechanical process enhancements.
- Train and transition knowledge to CM Mechanical Engineering teams.
