Job Title: WAN L3 Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled L3 Routing & Switching Engineer to provide onsite technical expertise for our enterprise network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for complex troubleshooting, large-scale network migrations, and the implementation of robust network solutions. You will serve as the primary point of escalation for network-related issues and work closely with the customer’s internal teams to ensure high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Troubleshooting
: Act as the L3 escalation point for complex routing, switching, and connectivity issues. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes.

Routing Optimization
:



Manage and optimize complex BGP and static routing environments to ensure effective traffic flow and redundancy.

Infrastructure Maintenance
: Perform routine health checks, firmware upgrades, and configuration audits on core network devices.

Documentation
: Maintain accurate network diagrams, configuration documentation, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Collaboration
: Work alongside security and data center teams to integrate firewall policies and ACI fabric configurations.

Technical Requirements (Must-Haves):

Routing Protocols
: Deep expertise in BGP (multi-homing, path manipulation) and advanced static routing configurations.

Switching
: Strong understanding of Layer 2/Layer 3 switching, including VLANs, STP, Port-channels, and HSRP/VRRP.

Migration Experience
: Proven track record in executing large-scale network migrations with minimal downtime.

Troubleshooting
: Proficiency in using packet capture tools (Wireshark/TCP Dump) and CLI-based diagnos
