Role Description
The Shopify Developer Interviewer is a part-time, remote role focused on evaluating and interviewing potential Shopify instructor candidates. In this position, you will review applications, assess technical portfolios, and conduct structured video interviews to gauge Shopify development skills and teaching aptitude. You will design and refine interview questions, practical tasks, and evaluation criteria aligned with Techmentry’s instructional standards. On a day-to-day basis, you will document interview outcomes, provide clear hiring recommendations to the recruitment team, and collaborate with leadership to continuously improve the selection process. You may also offer feedback to candidates and contribute insights on curriculum relevance and market trends in Shopify development.

Qualifications
- Robust Shopify development expertise, including theme customization, Liquid templating, and experience with Shopify apps and integrations.




- Solid understanding of front-end web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive design principles.
- Experience conducting technical interviews, candidate assessments, or mentoring developers in a structured setting.
- Clear, professional communication skills, with the ability to ask probing questions and explain complex technical concepts accessibly.
- Comfort working remotely, managing part-time schedules, and documenting interview findings in an organized manner.
- Familiarity with e-commerce best practices, user experience considerations, and performance optimization for online stores.
- Previous experience as a Shopify developer, technical recruiter, instructor, or team lead is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience is preferred but not required.
