Role Description
The Global Mentor (STEM) – ImpactGrad is a part-time,



remote role focused on mentoring students and early-career professionals pursuing STEM pathways and global education opportunities. In this role, the mentor supports mentees in clarifying academic interests, identifying relevant programs and scholarships, and mapping long-term portfolio-building strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting one-on-one mentorship sessions, reviewing academic and research profiles, suggesting enrichment activities, and offering feedback on statements of purpose, research proposals, and scholarship applications. The mentor collaborates with the ImpactGrad team to ensure discipline-specific insights are integrated into structured plans, tracks mentee progress, and maintains high standards of ethical guidance. The role requires consistent communication, thoughtful documentation of mentorship plans, and responsiveness across time zones, while balancing flexibility with professional reliability.
