Purpose of the Role:

1. To build a purchasing organization and the infrastructure required to meet the business objectives

2. To execute best-in-class strategic sourcing in the Organisation

3. To direct Business Unit-wide sourcing activities and to work closely with Business Unit Senior leadership and Strategic purchasing Managers in pursuit of sustainable reductions in the total cost of goods and services procured, with simultaneous improvements in the quality, competitiveness and service levels of the supply base.

Responsibilities Accountabilities:

Achievement of real savings including direct savings captured through pooling Business Unit wide purchase volume and indirect savings realized by enhancing the overall effectiveness of the procurement process.

To drive ovearall purchasing performance and leads transformative changes efforts

Overarching strategy, vendor management, technology roadmap and risk management

Prepare annual and long-term strategic sourcing plans which identify how the strategic sourcing organization intends to achieve BU goals.





The plan will propose specific sourcing team projects for the year, expected savings from these initiatives, staffing needs including proposed team leaders, and a timetable for completion.

The plan will also include a proposed sourcing budget for all BU sourcing activities and will be presented to the executive steering committee for approval.

Drive performance in decentralized businesses by jointly set targets with Management

He will work closely with the BU presidents to determine the current and future sourcing needs for the company, to agree on the best method for fulfilling those needs, and to monitor ongoing effectiveness of the process.

Drive the related programmatic initiatives to drive steps improvements.
