About the Role
We are looking for a result-oriented Business Development Executive to drive the acquisition of new retail supermarket stores. The role involves identifying suitable commercial properties, connecting with property owners and brokers, negotiating commercial terms, conducting site evaluations, and taking shortlisted properties through documentation and agreement signing. The ideal candidate should have solid local market knowledge, excellent negotiation and communication skills, and the ability to consistently deliver store acquisition targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Property Identification & Market Development
- Identify and source suitable commercial properties for new supermarket stores.
- Conduct extensive market mapping and identify high-potential locations.
- Build and maintain a robust network of property owners, brokers, developers, and local contacts.
- Generate new property leads through field visits, references, brokers, and market research.
- Continuously build a pipeline of potential properties in assigned territories.
2. Site Evaluation
- Conduct physical site visits and assess properties against company-defined location criteria.
- Evaluate accessibility, visibility, frontage, parking, catchment potential, competition, surrounding businesses, and customer movement.
- Collect property details such as carpet area, floor configuration, frontage, power availability, parking, rent expectations, and other commercial requirements.
- Coordinate with internal teams for catchment and property feasibility assessments.
