· Serve as our supplier-based electrical engineer, embedded with OEM partners to oversee manufacturing quality and outgoing quality control on every batch before it ships.
· Plan and execute Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) for BESS products at supplier sites — defining test protocols, witnessing tests, and signing off before goods leave the factory.
· Own outgoing quality control (OQC): inspection criteria, sampling plans, and defect disposition, so nothing ships that doesn't meet spec.
· Review electrical design and build quality at the subassembly level — battery racks, PCS, BMS, protection, wiring — against our specs and applicable standards.
· Flag manufacturing quality issues early and work with supplier quality teams to drive root-cause fixes.
· Travel regularly to supplier facilities and to our India offices to align on quality standards and findings.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required
· B.E./B.Tech in Electrical Engineering; 3–6 years in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or outgoing quality control for electrical, electronics, or power hardware; hands-on experience planning and executing FAT; working knowledge of relevant standards (IEC 62619, UL 1973/9540, NFPA 855) as applied to quality and test; comfortable being embedded at supplier facilities for extended periods; hands-on fluency with AI tools for documentation and reporting, with working expertise in Claude required;
Nice to have
· Prior battery/BESS manufacturing quality experience; Six Sigma or other quality certifications.
