Role & responsibilities
- Review and understand client specifications during proposal phase. Raise clarifications and deviations not in-line withCompany standards.
- Define the stress design basis / philosophy for all load cases, specification, standards and guidelines for stress engineering
execution.
- Preparation of stress critical line list. Plan, schedule and progress control for the critical computer stress calculations and
visual reviews.
- Perform static analysis using CAESAR II for the all load cases. Provide effective stress solution for the critical piping.
- Selection of spring hangers, expansion joints and special supports. Prepare data sheets, technical requisition and technical
specification, as well as perform technical bid analysis for them.
- Provide technical solution for the non-critical line by performing visual reviews.
- Vendor drawing review to ensure all the piping loads are within the recommended limit stress check on the IFC isometrics
/ pipe supports.
- Preparation of stress isometrics and stress reports.
- Lead and assist junior piping stress engineers when developing engineering deliverables.
- Review, comment and approve the outsourced piping stress engineering design deliverables. Ensure most updated
vendors documentation is being used for developing these deliverables.
- Provide inputs to other disciplines during project execution.
- Participate in engineering meetings and client meeting as required.
- Involve in isometrics checking , review of the critical isometrics and ensure all the supports as per stress recommendations
are implemented in model and reflected int he isometrics. And ensure all non-critical isometrics are adequately supported
as per pipe support standards.
- Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in its discipline in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Provide support to processing facilities as required by Operations on engineering/technical matters.
