Position Title: Buying - intern

Reports to: Lead Buying

Location: Bengaluru

Position Summary:
- A hands-on position embedded within Puma India's Buying team, offering direct experience in the fast-paced buying and merchandising function of a global sportswear and fashion brand.
- Designed as an opportunity to build practical skills and industry knowledge by working closely with the team on real, live business initiatives rather than theoretical or simulated tasks.
- The candidate is expected to actively contribute to ongoing projects, making a tangible impact on business outcomes while gaining exposure to the global fashion and sportswear landscape.

Key Objectives:
- To work directly with the Buyer to support expediting day-to-day operations such as large-scale data handling (collect & organize) for business analysis, reporting.
- Work on competitor research, trend mapping, and market analysis
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, planning, Product)
- Maintain documentation, reports,



and databases with accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Performance Indicators:
- Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic data analysis).
- Working knowledge of PowerPoint for presentations.
- Basic understanding of fashion/retail business and consumer trends.

Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Communication skills (written and verbal) for cross-team collaboration.
- Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work in a agile environment.

Eligibility Criteria And Functional Competencies Required:
- Current student or recent graduate in Fashion Management, Business, Retail, or related Fields.
- Interest in sports, fashion, and lifestyle with awareness of the latest industry trends.
