Job Summary

The Engineer in Support & Operations will be responsible for the administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops (XenDesktop) environments, with a robust focus on Machine Creation Services (MCS). The role involves providing operational support, resolving incidents, supporting image management activities, and ensuring service availability in line with business SLAs. Responsibilities align closely with Citrix XenDesktop, MCS, and provisioning support expectations observed in HCLTech roles and internal Citrix references.

Key Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Provide L1/L2 operational support for Citrix XenDesktop environments. Administer and support Machine Creation Services (MCS) catalogs and desktop delivery infrastructure. Perform image updates, machine catalog maintenance, and desktop provisioning activities. Troubleshoot desktop launch issues, profile issues, logon delays, and application access problems. Monitor Citrix infrastructure health and address performance-related alerts.



Support Citrix Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, Citrix Workspace, and Citrix Director. Execute patching, maintenance, reboot schedules, and standard operational changes. Participate in Incident, Problem, and Change Management activities. Coordinate with application, server, network, and security teams for issue resolution. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and knowledge articles. Ensure compliance with operational standards and support processes

Skill Requirements
