Role & responsibilities
- Ensure FCU operational SLAs are met, including timely verification, file checks, and fraud case closures as per SOP-defined timelines across all locations, business channels, and expansion branches.
- Lead end-to-end fraud investigations for minor and major cases, ensuring adherence to mean time-to-closure (MTTC) standards and timely decisioning.
- Strengthen regulatory and fraud-policy compliance by ensuring zero material breaches of RBI Master Directions and 100% completion of mandatory fraud-risk trainings.
- Manage vendor governance for all verification partners including 100% completion of vendor audits, ensuring cost efficiency, SLA adherence, payment TAT compliance, and full backup vendor coverage across branches.
- Implement preventive fraud controls by monitoring KRIs, reducing vendor-originated incidents, issuing early corrective actions, and ensuring timely exception reporting.
- Drive process innovation by identifying fraud-prone areas, fixing high-risk processes, resolving process gaps,



and implementing current analytics- or AI-driven detection models.
- Oversee FCU SOPs, process notes, and policy updates; ensure that enhancements arising from field feedback and business gaps are documented and adopted.
- Lead governance and audit management through timely closure of audit queries, field visits, and escalation of control gaps with actionable insights.

Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate/Postgraduate with 1018 years of experience in fraud risk management, investigations, vigilance, or FCU roles within Housing Finance, NBFCs, or Banks.
- Strong experience in field investigations, digital fraud detection, application fraud, document verification processes, and portfolio-level fraud analytics.
- Solid understanding of KYC, AML, RBI guidelines, regulatory governance, and internal audit/forensic requirements.
