Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed costing for new and existing products/components.
- Calculate material, machining, fabrication, labour, tooling, process and overhead costs.
- Study engineering drawings, BOMs, specifications and customer requirements for costing.
- Prepare quotations and cost sheets within the required timelines.
- Coordinate with Design, Purchase, PPC, Production, Quality and Sales teams for accurate cost inputs.
- Obtain and verify raw material and bought-out component prices.
- Analyze machining processes, cycle time, machine-hour rates and labour costs.
- Calculate manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- Compare estimated cost with actual production cost and analyse variances.
- Maintain and update costing databases, rate sheets and historical costing records.
- Support new product development by providing cost feasibility and cost estimates.
- Review changes in drawings, specifications,



materials or processes and revise costing accordingly.
- Conduct competitor/market price analysis wherever required.
- Support management in pricing decisions and profitability analysis.
- Ensure all costing calculations are accurate and properly documented.

Required Skills
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing costing and estimation.
- Good understanding of CNC machining, fabrication, assembly and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of raw materials, bought-out components, tooling and consumables.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and costing-related tools.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOMs.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
