Raptee.HV is a full- stack electric motorcycle startup with a very strong technical moat, founded in 2019 by four engineers from Chennai (Ex Tesla, Wipro), working on bringing a no-compromise upgrade motorcycle to an otherwise scooter- only EV market. Raptee is incubated at CIIC & ARAI.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Electronics Costing Engineer to drive cost reduction and cost optimization initiatives across Electrical & Electronics (E&E;) components used in our EV products. The candidate will be responsible for developing should-cost models, benchmarking supplier quotations, identifying cost reduction opportunities, evaluating alternate components and suppliers, and working closely with engineering, supply chain, EMS partners, and suppliers to achieve competitive component costs.

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of electronic components, PCBAs, semiconductor pricing, manufacturing processes, BOM structures, and electronics cost drivers,



with the ability to translate technical specifications and manufacturing requirements into detailed cost estimates.

What You ll Do: Electronics Costing & Should-Cost Analysis
- Develop detailed should-cost models for electronic components, PCBAs, assemblies, and sub-assemblies based on BOM, specifications, manufacturing processes, and volumes.
- Analyze supplier quotations and identify cost drivers across material, PCB, assembly, semiconductor, testing, tooling, overhead, logistics, and margin.
- Benchmark component and PCBA costs against market prices, alternate suppliers, historical costs, and comparable products.
- Validate supplier cost breakups and challenge cost assumptions to ensure commercially competitive pricing.
- Build and maintain cost databases for electronic components, including ICs, semiconductors, passives, connectors, PCBs, sensors, and other E&E; parts.
