We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to support inspection and quality-control activities in our manufacturing facility. The candidate will be responsible for in-process and final inspection, documentation, dimensional checking, and ensuring that manufactured components and equipment meet approved drawings and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of components and fabricated equipment.
Inspect components as per engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
Perform dimensional inspection using:
Vernier Caliper
Micrometer
Height Gauge
Bore Gauge
Measuring Tape
Other measuring instruments
Verify dimensions, material specifications, welding quality, surface finish and workmanship.
Conduct stage-wise inspection during fabrication and machining activities.
Prepare and maintain inspection reports, checklists and quality records.
Cross-check inspection documents with approved drawings and BOM.
Ensure all critical dimensions are properly recorded.
Coordinate with Production, PPC, Design,
Purchase and Stores departments for quality-related issues.
Identify non-conforming components/products and report them to the senior quality team.
Assist in NCR, rejection and corrective-action activities.
Ensure proper calibration status of measuring instruments.
Support customer inspection and third-party inspection activities.
Maintain quality documentation as per company procedures and ISO 9001/QMS requirements.
Participate in internal quality audits, 5S activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Follow company safety and quality procedures.
Required Skills
Basic knowledge of Mechanical Engineering and manufacturing processes.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Knowledge of dimensional inspection and measuring instruments.
Basic knowledge of fabrication, machining and welding processes.
Valuable understanding of tolerances and basic GD&T; will be an advantage.
