Role & responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end pricing and operational activities for Air and Ocean freight shipments, including Import and Export movements.
- Prepare accurate and competitive freight quotations based on customer requirements, routing, shipment volume, weight, dimensions, Incoterms, and service levels.
- Obtain and negotiate buying rates with shipping lines, airlines, NVOCCs, co-loaders, transporters, and overseas agents.
- Calculate complete shipment costs including ocean/air freight, origin and destination charges, handling, documentation, trucking, customs-related charges, and applicable surcharges.
- Develop profitable selling rates while maintaining competitiveness and meeting internal gross profit/margin targets.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Customer Service, Operations, Documentation, Finance, and overseas offices to ensure smooth shipment execution.
- Handle customer pricing requests and provide timely quotations within agreed TAT/SLA.
- Maintain and regularly update carrier rate sheets, tariff files, vendor rates, customer-specific rates,



quotation trackers, and pricing databases.
- Monitor freight market conditions, carrier rate changes, fuel surcharges, peak-season surcharges, capacity constraints, and trade-lane trends.
- Support RFQs, RFPs, tenders, annual rate negotiations, and key-account pricing.
- Follow up on submitted quotations with Sales and customers and track conversion opportunities.
- Analyze shipment profitability, identify cost-saving opportunities, and recommend suitable routing/carrier options.
- Coordinate with overseas agents to obtain destination charges, routing options, transit times, and operational feasibility.
- Manage shipment exceptions, rate discrepancies, vendor issues, and customer escalations through effective problem-solving.
- Ensure pricing commitments are operationally feasible, commercially viable, and aligned with company policies.
