ABOUT THE ROLE
Role Description:
The Specialist Software Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications and solutions that meet business needs and ensuring the availability and performance of critical systems and applications within the Clinical Computation Platform Product Team. This role involves working closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to create high-quality, scalable software solutions and automating operations, monitoring system health, and responding to incidents to minimize downtime.
Roles Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business partners and other software engineers to develop and deploy the latest, advanced technologies in support of product optimization
- Work closely with the delivery and platform teams to ensure that the applications are aligned with standard city planning approved architectural and development guidelines
- Possesses solid rapid prototyping skills and can quickly translate concepts into working code
- Contribute to both front-end and back-end development using cloud technology
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend services, APIs, and microservices using modern programming languages
- Develop event-driven or service-oriented architectures that support large-scale enterprise systems.
- Implement database schemas, queries, and data-processing pipelines across relational and NoSQL datastores.
- Work with designers, data engineers, and platform teams to translate technical and business needs into backend solutions.
