We are hiring a Kafka Migration Engineer to drive and support large-scale On-Premise Apache Kafka to AWS MSK migration initiatives. The role involves Kafka cluster assessment, migration planning, execution, validation, performance tuning, automation, and production cutover.

Key Responsibilities & Skills
:
- Strong hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, Kafka clusters, brokers, topics, partitions & consumer groups
- Practical experience with AWS MSK cluster provisioning, configuration, monitoring and security
- Experience in Kafka-to-MSK / On-Prem to Cloud migration projects
- Hands-on with MirrorMaker 2, Confluent Replicator or similar migration tools
- Perform cluster discovery, topic mapping, workload assessment & capacity planning
- Manage UAT, parallel testing, data validation, cutover and rollback activities
- Experience with consumer offset synchronization and post-migration validation
- Strong knowledge of Kafka performance tuning, replication,



retention and throughput optimization
- Proficiency in Python, Java or Shell scripting for migration and operational automation
- Knowledge of AWS services – EKS, ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch and VPC
- Understanding of Kafka Connect, Schema Registry and Kafka Streams
- Positive knowledge of IAM, TLS/mTLS, SASL/SCRAM, VPC, PrivateLink and networking
- Experience with Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins/GitLab and CI/CD
- Exposure to Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk or CloudWatch for monitoring and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to collaborate with application, infrastructure, cloud and platform teams and drive migration activities to closure
- Exposure to automation frameworks and AI-assisted engineering for improving migration efficiency is an added advantage.

Education:
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
