Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced Legal Manager Technology, Privacy & Data Protection to manage legal matters relating to Privacy, Data Protection, Intellectual Property (IP), Cloud Computing, IT Systems, Cybersecurity,

Privacy & Data Protection
- Provide legal advice on data privacy, data protection and information governance matters.
- Advise business teams on applicable privacy laws and regulatory requirements.
- Review and draft Privacy Policies, Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), Data Protection Addendums, consent mechanisms and privacy notices.

Technology & IT Legal
- Review, draft and negotiate SaaS, cloud service, software licensing, IT services, system implementation, technology outsourcing, maintenance and support agreements.
- Identify and mitigate legal and commercial risks in technology contracts.




- Advise internal stakeholders on technology procurement and vendor relationships.

Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of Privacy & Data Protection laws.
- Expertise in Technology and IT contracts.
- Good understanding of Cloud Computing and Cloud Security.
- Solid knowledge of Intellectual Property laws.
- Understanding of Cybersecurity and Information Security.
- Contract drafting and negotiation skills.

Preferred candidate profile
- LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
- Additional certification in Data Privacy, Data Protection, Cyber Law, Technology Law or Information Security will be an advantage.
