Role Summary

The Logistics Assistant Manager will support and manage end-to-end logistics operations including transportation, warehousing

coordination, dispatch planning, vendor management, and compliance. The role focuses on optimizing cost, ensuring timely

deliveries, and maintaining accurate documentation while coordinating with internal teams and external transporters.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily inbound and outbound logistics operations

Manage transportation vendors, freight forwarders, and courier partners

Negotiate freight rates and ensure cost-effective logistics solutions

Ensure on-time dispatch and delivery as per sales and production schedules

Monitor vehicle placement, loading, unloading, and transit tracking

Prepare and verify logistics documentation (LR, e-way bill, invoice, POD, etc.)

Ensure compliance with GST, e-way bill, transport, and statutory regulations

Coordinate with warehouse, production, sales, and finance teams

Handle logistics-related complaints, delays, damages, and claims





Maintain MIS reports on freight cost, delivery performance, and turnaround time

Support audits and ensure proper record-keeping

Implement process improvements to reduce logistics cost and transit time

Ensure safety, quality, and SOP adherence in logistics operations

Key Skills Competencies

Solid knowledge of domestic logistics transportation

Understanding of GST, e-way bills, and logistics documentation

Vendor negotiation and cost control skills

Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines

Strong coordination and communication skills

Analytical mindset with problem-solving ability

Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/SAP (preferred)
