Role Overview:
The Duty Medical Officer (DMO) is responsible for providing primary medical care, patient assessment, emergency support, and clinical coordination within the hospital. The role involves evaluating patients, initiating appropriate medical management, maintaining accurate clinical documentation, and ensuring quality patient care in coordination with consultants and healthcare teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient examinations, establish preliminary diagnoses, and initiate treatment.
- Coordinate with consultant surgeons and specialists for effective patient management.
- Monitor patient progress and maintain accurate clinical records.
- Provide emergency medical support and stabilization measures as required.
- Coordinate with nursing and allied healthcare staff.
- Communicate with patients and attendants regarding treatment plans and follow-ups.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and clinical protocols.
- Attend medical camps and assist Consultant Surgeons during OP consultations and patient assessments.
Requirements:
- MBBS degree from a recognized medical institution.
- Valid NMC / State Medical Council registration.
- Strong clinical knowledge and patient management skills.
- Ability to assess and manage emergency situations.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid documentation and record-keeping practices.
