Hands-on network engineering experience with Routers, Switches, Firewalls, Access Points ,load balancers, TCP/IP, Subnetting, DNS, DHCP, NAT, Routing, etc. and related networking protocols and technologies (QoS, PoE, NTP, CDP, TFTP, SNMP, SYSLOG etc.) and security-related protocols (SSH, HTTPS, AAA, IPSec, etc.)

Robust knowledge of Layer 2 network protocols (STP, VLANs, Ethernet, etc.).

Strong knowledge of Layer 3 IP routing (IP sub netting/addressing, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).

Understand LAN/WAN and transport technologies.

Strong knowledge on various kind of VPN s

Knowledge of how other IT systems (applications, end user devices, servers) interact with the network

Knowledge on Nexus switches, load balancers , IPS/IDS and web filtering

Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls,



Wi-Fi, SD-WAN,VPN, QoS)

Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurations

C onfigure the redundancy/standardization in various network aspects

On call support for network issues

Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, processes.
