Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

Manage benchmarking shop floor activities and ensure efficient operation of the benchmarking facility.

Plan and coordinate procurement of newly launched EV and ICE vehicles for benchmarking and competitive analysis.

Perform complete vehicle dismantling and teardown activities for electric and internal combustion vehicles.

Develop module-wise understanding of vehicle systems, including powertrain, chassis, body, electronics, interiors, and thermal systems.

Conduct component inspection and dimensional validation using CMM, 3D scanning, and other metrology equipment.

Maintain and update inspection records, measurement results, and benchmarking databases in designated systems.

Support vehicle and component reassembly activities to validate functionality, fitment, and engineering learnings.

Perform vehicle and component weight measurements, vehicle layout studies, and material identification analysis.

Conduct vehicle testing and collect data related to driving performance, braking, low-speed, and high-speed evaluations.

Carry out exterior,



interior, and Body-in-White (BIW) scanning activities for benchmarking and reverse engineering studies.

Collect, analyze, and document agile and static vehicle data to support product development activities.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders and customers to meet benchmarking, engineering, and project requirements.

Manage engineering data storage, documentation, backup, and traceability of benchmarking information.

Perform ergonomic assessments, occupant packaging studies, and H-point measurements to support vehicle development and design optimization.

Experience

3 to 6 years

Industry Preferred

Automotive OEM / Tier 1 suppliers.

Qualifications

Diploma or BE (Mechanical/automobile/Mechatronics engineering)
