We are looking for an experienced and qualified Consultant Pathologist to oversee pathology operations, ensure accurate and timely reporting, and maintain high standards of quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and review pathology investigations and ensure accurate interpretation of results.
- Review and authorize laboratory reports within defined TAT.
- Handle hematology, biochemistry, clinical pathology, cytology, and histopathology as applicable.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality control, quality assurance, and internal/external quality assessment programs.
- Provide clinical inputs and guidance to laboratory and technical teams.
- Investigate discrepancies, critical values, and reporting errors and take corrective actions.
- Support NABL/ISO audits and ensure adherence to applicable quality and compliance standards.
- Coordinate with clinicians and laboratory teams for case discussions and report clarification.
- Ensure proper documentation and maintain patient confidentiality.
- Contribute to process improvement and continuous quality enhancement.
Eligibility
- MD/DNB/DCP in Pathology from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in a diagnostic laboratory.
- Valid medical registration.
- Strong knowledge of pathology reporting, laboratory quality systems, and diagnostic practices.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with laboratory teams.
