Business Analyst - Reinsurance

Job Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst with experience in the Reinsurance domain to join Cognizant Consulting Insurance practice. The ideal candidate should possess strong business analysis skills, experience working with reinsurance processes, and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams.

Consulting & Business Analysis Skills
- Ability to gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
- Experience in creating requirements artifacts such as BRD, FSD, use cases, process flows, and user stories.
- Experience working on business analysis assignments within Insurance/Reinsurance projects.
- Good understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate with business users to assess requirements, define scope, and support effort estimation.
- Demonstrated Business Analysis experience in Reinsurance domain projects.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.





Reinsurance Domain Knowledge
- 3 to 8 years of experience in Reinsurance domain.
- Good understanding of Facultative and Treaty Reinsurance processes.
- Experience across Reinsurance Policy Administration, Underwriting, Claims, Accounting, or Bordereaux Management.
- Knowledge of Reinsurance lifecycle, premium processing, claims handling, and settlements.
- Familiarity with London Market, Lloyd's, or Global Reinsurance practices is preferred.
- Experience working with Reinsurance carriers, brokers, or consulting engagements.
- Understanding of digital transformation initiatives within Insurance/Reinsurance organizations.
