Role & responsibilities
- Own the full lifecycle of features from technical design and architecture through implementation, testing, and deployment
- Write high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code across the frontend and backend
- Design and implement APIs and services using Node.js, and build interactive UIs using React
- Model and manage data across relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) stores
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and manage deployments on AWS
- Participate actively in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through code reviews, pairing, and technical guidance to help grow the team's engineering capability
- Identify technical risks early and proactively propose solutions or trade-offs to stakeholders
- Champion engineering best practices including testing, observability, security, and performance
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and other engineering teams to translate requirements into robust technical solutions

Preferred candidate profile




- 8 years of hands-on full stack development experience, with a track record of owning features end-to-end
- Solid hands-on expertise in Node.js and React
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, including schema design and query optimization
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and deploying on AWS
- Deep understanding of fundamental computer science and software engineering concepts data structures, algorithms, system design, and design patterns
- Demonstrated experience mentoring junior developers or acting as a technical point of contact for a team
- Strong understanding of scalable web architecture, security, and performance best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as an individual contributor
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work across product, design, and engineering stakeholders
