Key Responsibilities
- Create
3D models and detailed 2D drawings
using
SolidWorks
- Experience in Autocad
- Design
automation fixtures, PCB test fixtures, jigs, and mechanical assemblies
- Ensure designs are compliant with
DFMA principles
- Prepare designs considering
manufacturing processes
(CNC, VMC, Laser cutting, Lathe)
- Perform
interference, clearance, and assembly checks
in CAD
- Generate
accurate BOMs
(manufactured & bought-out parts)
- Define
tolerances, fits, materials, and surface finishes
- Support
assembly and troubleshooting
during first build
- Modify designs based on
shop-floor and assembly feedback
- Maintain
revision control and documentation
- Coordinate with manufacturing, assembly, and electrical teams
Technical Skills
- Minimum
2 years of hands-on experience in SolidWorks
- Strong knowledge of
3D modeling, assemblies, and detailing
- Understanding of
automation systems & mechanical fixtures
- Knowledge of
assembly methods and shop-floor practices
- Familiarity with
CNC / VMC / Laser / Lathe manufacturing processes
- Valuable understanding of
fasteners, tolerances, GD&T; basics
- Experience in preparing
manufacturing-ready drawings
- BOM creation and verification experience
