* To manage day-to-day production and process operations on the shop floor,
ensuring safe, efficient, and quality-oriented manufacturing in line with
plant targets and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Supervise and control daily production activities during the assigned shift.
* Ensure that production targets (quantity and quality) are met as per
schedule.
* Monitor equipment performance and process parameters through DCS/field
instruments.
* Coordinate with maintenance, quality, and utility departments for smooth
operations.
* Analyze process data to identify abnormalities and take corrective action.
* Maintain process discipline and ensure adherence to SOPs and process
standards.
* Support process optimization and yield improvement initiatives.
* Report any deviations in quality or process to the section head immediately.
* Ensure all operations comply with safety and environmental regulations.




* Conduct toolbox talks and safety checks before shift start.
* Promote safe working practices and report unsafe acts/conditions.
* Supervise operators and helpers on the shop floor.
* Ensure manpower availability and shift handover documentation.
* Provide on-the-job training and guidance to team members.
* Maintain daily production and downtime logs.
* Record process parameters and key performance data accurately.
* Prepare shift reports and communicate to the next shift/section head.
