Position Title: Road Surveyor
Department: Civil Engineering / Infrastructure Projects
Location: Nal Sarovar Office, Ahmedabad, Gujarat
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary Range: ₹30,000 – ₹35,000 per month
Experience Required: Minimum 1 Year
Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Road Surveyor to join our infrastructure team at the Nal Sarovar Office. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting accurate land and topographic surveys, establishing road alignments, and providing critical site data required for road construction and development projects.
Key Responsibilities
Total Station Operation: Conduct precise land, contour, and elevation surveys using Total Station and related surveying equipment.
Road Alignment & Layout Work: Establish, verify, and mark road centerlines, gradient levels, cross-sections, and right-of-way (ROW) alignments on-site.
Topographic Mapping: Perform comprehensive topographic field surveys to gather geographic data for preliminary design and planning.
Site Collaboration: Work closely with Site Engineers, Project Managers, and construction crews to ensure layout accuracy during execution.
Data Management & Reporting: Process raw survey data, maintain field logs/books, and prepare topographic maps, leveling sheets, and survey documentation.
Quality & Benchmark Control: Establish and maintain permanent and temporary benchmark points across the project site.
Key Requirements & Qualifications
Education:
Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of practical field experience as a Road Surveyor or Land Surveyor.
Technical Skills:
High proficiency in operating Total Station, Auto Level, and GPS/DGPS equipment.
Robust understanding of road design concepts, highway alignment, and leveling calculations.
Familiarity with AutoCAD / Civil 3D or survey data download/processing software is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and high accuracy in data recording.
Willingness to work on outdoor project sites under varying weather conditions.
