- Accurately dispense prescription medications, ensuring correct dosage, formulation, and labeling.
- Review prescriptions for accuracy and appropriateness of medication.
- Advise patients on medication usage, potential side effects, and safety precautions.
- Provide guidance on over-the-counter medications, health supplements, and dietary changes.
- Monitor and review patient medications for effectiveness, side effects, and drug interactions.
- Perform medication therapy management and provide recommendations to optimize patient care.
- Work alongside doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary healthcare teams and contribute to treatment planning.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records and inventory management.
- Monitor medication stock levels, ensure medications are ordered and stocked properly.
- Manage medication expiration dates and ensure proper storage.
- Administer immunizations as required (flu shots, travel vaccines, etc.)
