This role involves planning and teaching lessons, assessing student progress, communicating with parents, and participating in school activities. Key Responsibilities:
- Lesson Planning and Delivery:Creating and implementing engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs, using a variety of teaching methods and resources.
- Curriculum Implementation:Delivering the primary school curriculum across various subjects, including literacy, numeracy, science, and social studies.
- Student Assessment:Evaluating student progress through various assessments, providing feedback, and adjusting teaching strategies as needed.
- Classroom Management:Creating and maintaining a positive and safe learning environment, managing student behavior, and ensuring student well-being.
- Communication with Parents:Communicating regularly with parents regarding student progress, addressing concerns, and working collaboratively to support student learning.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate records of student attendance, progress, and assessments.
- Extracurricular Activities:Organizing and participating in extracurricular activities, such as sports teams, field trips, and after-school clubs.
- Collaboration:Working with other teachers, support staff, and school administration to support student learning and development.
- Career development:Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Educational Background:Bachelor's degree in education or a related field, with a teaching license or certification.
- Subject Matter Expertise:Strong knowledge of the primary school curriculum and subject matter.
- Communication Skills:Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Teaching Skills:Ability to plan, deliver, and assess lessons effectively, using a variety of teaching methods and strategies.
