Magic Bus India Foundation is one of the leading NGOs in education and skilling in India. Over the past 26 years, the organisation has established a strong presence across 22 states and union territories, impacting on the lives of young people from underserved communities between the ages of 12 to 25 years. Through its two distinct programmes - the Adolescent Programme and Livelihood Programme Magic Bus equips young people with essential life and employability skills to help them move out of poverty and lead sustainable lives.

The Adolescent Programme empowers adolescents (12–18 years) with life skills education and Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN). To support this, Magic Bus has established an impressive network of 30,000 schools, 343 Community Learning Centres (CLCs), and MOUs with 10 state governments and NITI Aayog. Notably, 52% of the participants are girls, reflecting the programme’s strong focus on gender inclusion.

The Livelihood Programme prepares youth (18–25 years) for sustainable careers by imparting transferable life and employability skills. Magic Bus has set up 133 Livelihood Centres, built 1,130+ college partnerships, and established Entrepreneurship Incubation Centres to nurture aspiring entrepreneurs from underserved communities. 60% of the programme’s participants are young women, highlighting a strong emphasis on empowering women through skilling.

In addition, Magic Bus has expanded into the Peri-Urban and Rural Livelihood Programme, focusing on empowering women in peri-urban and rural areas through leadership and enterprise and move towards financial independence.

Through its sustained efforts, Magic Bus has empowered over 35 lakh adolescents and 5 lakh youth, enabling their transition from childhood to livelihood.

About the Project

Shubh Aarambh 2.0, Ek Nayi Pehal, is a Viksit Gaon pilot under the Community Development Programme (CDP). It aims to strengthen education, sports, work readiness, community institutions and local systems to build resilient, skilled and empowered communities.

The programme includes remedial learning for Grades 3–8, academic support for Grades 9–10, life skills and work-readiness education, sports development and excellence, scholarship support and engagement with parents, schools, Gram Panchayats and School Management Committees.

Community Learning Centres are a key platform for the programme. At the CLC,



learners in Grades 3–8 will receive structured, level-based remedial support through guided practice, learning materials, regular assessments and progress tracking.

Under the project, remedial learning support for learners in Grades 3–8 will be provided through Community Learning Centres. The support will focus on identifying learning gaps and strengthening grade-appropriate competencies through structured and level-based learning sessions.

Roles and responsibilities

The Education Facilitator will manage the Community Learning Centre and provide structured remedial learning support to learners in Grades 3–8. The facilitator will identify learning gaps, organise learners according to their learning levels, deliver level-appropriate sessions, track progress and work with parents, schools and community stakeholders to improve learning outcomes and continued engagement in education.

- Manage the Community Learning Centre, including learner enrolment, batch formation, timetables, attendance and learning resources.
- Conduct periodic assessments using programme-approved tools to identify learners’ current levels and learning gaps.
- Group learners according to their learning needs and provide level-based remedial support.
- Deliver the prescribed number of remedial-learning sessions as per the project curriculum, calendar and expected dosage.
- Strengthen grade-appropriate competencies through focused support in selected subjects.
- Use child-friendly and experiential methods such as activities, guided practice, educational games, worksheets, reading exercises and peer learning.
- Prepare yearly, monthly, weekly and daily learning plans and ensure the timely completion of learning objectives.
- Conduct regular assessments, document learner progress and adjust learning support based on assessment findings.
- Manage learner batches and maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Track learner attendance, identify irregular learners and coordinate with parents, schools and the Community Facilitator for timely follow-up.




- Engage with parents periodically to share learner progress and encourage regular attendance and continued learning.
- Coordinate with teachers and school authorities to understand learning needs and support learners’ progress in school.
- Maintain accurate records, including enrolment, attendance, assessments, learner progress, session details, learning materials and MIS data.
- Participate in programme training and capacity-building activities and provide regular feedback on the curriculum and its implementation.
- Support educational events, learning exhibitions, community meetings and other project activities as required.
- Ensure the equitable participation of girls, learners with disabilities and learners from vulnerable backgrounds.
- Follow all organisational policies related to child safeguarding, safety, confidentiality and child rights.
- Submit timely reports, updates and documentation to the Programme Coordinator and other relevant stakeholder.

Qualification requirement

- Graduation in any stream and certification in Education or equivalent (B.Ed./ BSW is preferable)

Past professional experience

About 1-2 years of experience in social sector/ community program or similar field of education and teaching shall be preferable.

- Ability to identify learning gaps and provide level-based academic support.
- Ability to manage multi-grade and multi-level learner groups.
- Child-friendly facilitation and classroom-management skills.
- Ability to conduct straightforward assessments and maintain learner-progress records.
- Understanding of child safeguarding and inclusive education.
- Fluency in the local language and ability to communicate with parents and school stakeholders.

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
