Designation : Sr. Consultant (Odoo)

What is the work?

- Lead Odoo implementation projects from requirement gathering and business process analysis through configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.
- Work directly with clients to understand their business processes, operational requirements, pain points, and expected outcomes from Odoo.
- Conduct functional requirement analysis and translate business requirements into practical Odoo solutions.
- Configure Odoo modules based on client requirements, including workflows, access rights, approval processes, reports, and business rules.
- Provide functional expertise across relevant Odoo modules such as Sales, Purchase, CRM, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR, Project, and Website/eCommerce, depending on project requirements.
- Prepare functional specifications, process flows, configuration documents, user stories, and other project documentation.
- Identify gaps between standard Odoo functionality and client requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.




- Coordinate with Odoo developers for customizations, integrations, reports, automated actions, and other technical requirements.
- Review proposed customizations to ensure they are aligned with standard Odoo functionality and maintainability.
- Participate in solution design discussions and help determine whether requirements should be addressed through standard configuration, customization, or third-party integrations.
- Manage functional testing, prepare test scenarios/test cases, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with clients.
- Support data migration activities, including data mapping, validation, cleansing, and import into Odoo.
- Conduct user training, product demonstrations, workshops, and knowledge-transfer sessions for client teams.
- Support deployment, go-live, and post-production stabilization activities.
- Investigate functional issues reported by users, identify root causes, and coordinate with technical teams for resolution where required.
- Manage multiple client requirements, priorities, deliverables, and timelines while maintaining quality.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, Developers, QA teams, and other consultants to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide regular updates on functional progress, open issues, dependencies, risks, and client requirements.
- Stay updated with new Odoo features, changes, and best practices, particularly across the latest Odoo versions.
- Ensure that Odoo solutions are implemented using standard functionality wherever practical and avoid unnecessary customizations.
- Provide functional support and guidance to clients during and after implementation.

What skills and experience are we looking for?

- 5–8+ years of relevant experience as an Odoo Functional Consultant/Consultant, with strong hands-on experience in Odoo implementation.
- Mandatory: Active/valid Odoo 19 Functional Certification. The candidate must hold an active Odoo 19 Functional Certificate at the time of joining.
- Strong practical knowledge of Odoo's functional architecture and business workflows.
- Hands-on implementation experience with multiple Odoo modules such as Sales, CRM, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, HR, Project, Website/eCommerce,



or other relevant modules.
- Strong experience in requirement gathering, business process mapping, gap analysis, functional configuration, testing, UAT, training, and go-live support.
- Ability to independently configure Odoo according to business requirements and explain the impact of different configuration options to clients.
- Strong understanding of standard Odoo workflows and the ability to identify when a requirement can be achieved through configuration versus customization.
- Experience working closely with Odoo developers on Python-based customizations, automated actions, reports, APIs, integrations, and third-party applications.
- Good understanding of Odoo technical concepts, including models, fields, views, workflows, security/access rights, scheduled actions, automated actions, and module structure, even where the role is primarily functional.
- Experience with Odoo 17/18/19 implementations is preferred, with strong preference for recent Odoo 19 project experience.
- Experience in Odoo migration/upgrades and understanding of version-to-version functional changes will be an advantage.
- Practical experience with data import/export, data migration, Excel/CSV-based data preparation, and data validation.
- Experience preparing functional documents, requirement specifications, process flows, test cases, training materials, and user manuals.
- Strong client-facing experience with the ability to conduct requirement meetings, product demonstrations, workshops, and training sessions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical/functional concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business processes and recommend practical Odoo solutions.
- Experience working with international clients and distributed teams will be an advantage.
- Experience in ERP implementation, business process consulting, or digital transformation projects will be preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple requirements and priorities independently and work effectively with Project Managers, Developers, QA teams, and clients.
- Solid understanding of ERP implementation lifecycle, Agile/project delivery practices, and issue management.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Commerce, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Additional valid Odoo certifications will be an advantage, but an active Odoo 19 Functional Certificate is mandatory.
