Position: Accounts Executive
Department: Accounts & Finance
Location: KPHB Colony, Hyderabad
Reporting To: Accounts Manager / Finance Manager
Experience: 1–3 Years
Employment Type: Full time

1. Job Purpose

The Accounts Executive will be responsible for handling day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reconciliations, processing accounting transactions, and assisting the Accounts & Finance team in monthly closing and statutory compliance activities.

The candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and practical knowledge of Tally/ERP and MS Excel.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Day-to-Day Accounting

- Record and maintain day-to-day accounting transactions.
- Prepare and post journal, payment, receipt, purchase, and sales entries.
- Maintain General Ledger (GL) and ensure transactions are properly classified.
- Verify accounting documents, invoices, bills, vouchers, and supporting documents.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records.
- Assist in maintaining accurate books of accounts.

B. Accounts Payable

- Verify vendor invoices against purchase orders and supporting documents.
- Process vendor bills and payment entries.
- Maintain vendor ledgers and outstanding statements.
- Prepare Accounts Payable ageing reports.
- Reconcile vendor balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate with internal departments and vendors regarding pending invoices and payments.

C. Accounts Receivable

- Record customer receipts and related accounting transactions.
- Maintain customer ledgers and outstanding balances.
- Prepare Accounts Receivable ageing reports.
- Follow up with concerned teams regarding overdue receivables.
- Reconcile customer accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing collection and outstanding MIS reports.

D. Bank Reconciliation

- Prepare Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS) on a regular basis.




- Verify bank transactions with accounting records.
- Identify unreconciled transactions and coordinate for timely clearance.
- Record bank charges, interest, and other bank-related transactions.
- Maintain proper records of bank reconciliation statements.

E. Cash & Petty Cash

- Maintain cash and petty cash records.
- Record petty cash expenses and verify supporting bills.
- Perform regular cash reconciliation.
- Ensure proper authorization and documentation for cash payments.
- Prepare cash-related reports as required.

F. GST & Statutory Compliance Support

- Assist in maintaining records and data required for GST compliance.
- Verify purchase and sales invoices for GST-related information.
- Assist in reconciliation of purchase data with GST records.
- Support the Accounts Manager/Finance Manager in GST return preparation and related activities.
- Assist in TDS-related accounting and documentation.
- Maintain records related to statutory payments and filings.

G. Month-End Closing

- Assist in monthly and annual closing activities.
- Prepare ledger schedules and supporting documents.
- Assist in provisions, accruals, prepaid expenses, and other month-end entries.
- Review outstanding balances and identify unusual or pending entries.
- Support preparation of Trial Balance and other financial schedules.

H. MIS & Reporting

- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly Accounts MIS as required.
- Prepare reports relating to:
- Receivables
- Payables
- Bank balances
- Cash balances
- Expenses
- Vendor payments
- Customer collections
- Outstanding balances
- Provide accounting data and reports to management as required.




- Assist in preparing branch-wise/department-wise financial reports.

3. Reconciliation Responsibilities

The candidate will be responsible for assisting in:

- Bank reconciliation
- Customer ledger reconciliation
- Vendor ledger reconciliation
- Inter-branch reconciliation
- GST reconciliation
- Advances reconciliation
- Employee advance reconciliation
- Other balance sheet account reconciliations

4. Software & Technical Skills

Mandatory

- Good working knowledge of MS Excel.
- Knowledge of Tally Prime / Tally ERP or any accounting ERP.
- Basic knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.

Excel Skills

Candidates should be comfortable with:

- VLOOKUP / XLOOKUP
- SUMIF / SUMIFS
- COUNTIF / COUNTIFS
- IF / IFERROR
- Pivot Tables
- Sorting & Filtering
- Conditional Formatting
- Basic Excel reporting

Knowledge of Power Query, advanced Excel, SAP, or other ERP systems will be an added advantage.

5. Accounting Knowledge

The candidate should have a basic to good understanding of:

- Journal Entries
- Ledger
- Trial Balance
- Profit & Loss Account
- Balance Sheet
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Bank Reconciliation
- Cash & Bank Transactions
- Debtors & Creditors
- Accruals & Prepaid Expenses
- Fixed Assets
- GST
- TDS
- Basic financial accounting principles

6. Educational Qualification

- B.Com / M.Com / BBA (Finance) / MBA Finance or equivalent qualification.
- Candidates with additional accounting certifications will be preferred.

7. Experience

- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
- Experience in Tally/ERP, bank reconciliation, vendor/customer reconciliation, and Excel-based reporting is preferred.
- Freshers with strong practical accounting knowledge may also be considered depending on the requirement.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
