Role Summary

We are seeking a Senior Payments SME with strong consulting and payments expertise to lead workstreams on payment modernisation and transformation engagements. The role requires deep industry knowledge, client-facing consulting skills, and the ability to independently manage delivery teams and stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Client Advisory & Transformation

- Lead payment assessments and transformation programmes.
- Define target operating models for payment organisations.
- Conduct payment maturity and capability assessments.
- Develop payment strategy and implementation roadmaps.
- Advise clients on payment innovation and industry trends.

Lead workstreams across:

Retail Payments

- Card Issuing
- Merchant Acquiring
- Payment Gateways
- Digital Wallets

Banking Payments

- ACH
- SWIFT
- ISO 20022 Migration
- Cross-Border Payments
- Treasury Payments

Up-to-date Payments

- RTP/Faster Payments
- Open Banking
- Embedded Payments
- Payment Orchestration
- Tokenisation

Delivery Leadership





- Manage project workstreams and junior consultants.
- Facilitate client workshops and requirement sessions.
- Lead business process redesign initiatives.
- Define business requirements and operating procedures.
- Support programme governance and status reporting.

Business Development

- Support proposal development and RFP responses.
- Create industry assets and thought leadership.
- Participate in client pursuits and solutioning activities.

Required Experience

- 7-10 years of payments industry or consulting experience.
- Experience delivering payment transformation programmes.
- Strong knowledge of payment products, operating models, and regulations.
- Experience managing client stakeholders and project workstreams.
