Job Responsibilities – Commi Chef (Multi-Cuisine)

Department: Kitchen / F&B; Production
Cuisine: Multi-Cuisine – South Indian Preferred
Reporting To: Senior Chef / CDP / Sous Chef

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and assist in preparing a variety of vegetarian multi-cuisine dishes as per the menu and restaurant standards.
- Candidates with good knowledge and experience in South Indian cuisine will be preferred.
- Handle basic South Indian preparations such as dosa, idli, vada, sambhar, rasam, chutneys, rice items, etc.
- Complete daily preparation and mise-en-place before the start of service.
- Ensure food is prepared with the right taste, quality, quantity, and presentation.
- Follow proper hygiene and food safety practices while handling food.
- Check the freshness and quality of ingredients before use.
- Store and label food items properly and follow FIFO practices.
- Keep the workstation, kitchen equipment, and utensils clean and organised.
- Support the senior chef during busy hours and ensure orders are prepared on time.




- Help control food wastage and use ingredients properly.
- Work closely with other kitchen team members to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow the instructions given by the senior chef and support other kitchen activities when required.
- Maintain proper grooming, discipline, and professional behaviour at all times.
- Assist with kitchen closing and cleaning activities as required.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Chef or Management.

Skills & Requirements

- Previous experience as a Commi Chef in a multi-cuisine restaurant.
- Valuable knowledge of South Indian cuisine will be an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations.
- Good understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team and handle busy service hours.
- Willingness to learn and take responsibility.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
