Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Production Planning & Control Engineer with 3–4 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.

The candidate will be responsible for production planning, scheduling, material availability, capacity planning, monitoring production progress and coordinating with cross-functional teams to achieve production targets and on-time delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on customer requirements and order schedules.
- Monitor Plan vs. Actual production and take corrective actions for deviations.
- Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Maintenance and Dispatch teams.
- Ensure availability of raw materials and components as per the production plan.
- Monitor Raw Material, WIP and Finished Goods inventory.
- Perform machine and manpower capacity planning.
- Monitor production loading and machine utilization.
- Identify production bottlenecks and coordinate with concerned departments for resolution.
- Revise production schedules based on changes in customer demand, material availability or production capacity.
- Maintain production MIS, planning reports and daily production status.
- Track production KPIs such as productivity, plan achievement, rejection, downtime and on-time delivery.
- Maintain and update BOM, routing and production planning data in ERP/MRP systems.
- Support MRP activities and ensure timely release/follow-up of production requirements.




- Ensure effective communication and follow-up with all relevant departments.

Required Qualifications

- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related discipline.
- 3–4 years of relevant experience in Production Planning & Control in a manufacturing industry.
- Hands-on experience in production planning and scheduling.
- Good knowledge of MRP/ERP systems; SAP experience will be an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and production reporting.
- Understanding of inventory, material planning and capacity planning.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience

Candidates from automotive, auto-component, engineering, fabrication, consumables, or other process/manufacturing industries will be preferred.

Experience with SAP PP / MRP, BOM, production orders, capacity planning and MIS dashboards will be an added advantage.
