Injection Moulding & Vendor Management Executive / Engineer

Key Knowledge & Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in Injection Moulding / Plastic Manufacturing.
- Hands-on knowledge of Injection Moulding Machines, machine operations, mould setting and mould changeover.
- Knowledge of machine capacity, tonnage, cycle time, production output and machine specifications.
- Positive understanding of Injection Moulding machine parameters, including temperature, pressure, speed, holding pressure and cooling time.
- Knowledge of moulds, mould maintenance, mould trials and troubleshooting.
- Experience in identifying machine breakdowns and coordinating with the Maintenance/Service team.
- Knowledge of plastic raw materials such as PP, ABS, HIPS, PC, Nylon, etc.
- Experience in dealing with machine manufacturers, mould vendors, spare-parts suppliers and service vendors.
- Strong vendor negotiation and commercial negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of quotation comparison, price negotiation, payment terms, delivery schedules and warranty terms.
- Good knowledge of Purchase Orders, vendor evaluation and supplier follow-up.
- Basic knowledge of ERP / Excel for purchase, inventory and vendor-related activities.

Roles & Responsibilities1. Injection Moulding Machine

- Coordinate the purchase, installation and commissioning of injection moulding machines.
- Study machine specifications and compare technical requirements with production needs.
- Coordinate with machine vendors for machine trials, installation and commissioning.
- Monitor machine performance, production capacity and operating efficiency.
- Coordinate with Maintenance and Production teams for machine-related issues.
- Follow up with service vendors for breakdowns, preventive maintenance and AMC requirements.

2. Mould Management

- Coordinate with mould suppliers for new mould development and modifications.
- Follow up on mould design, manufacturing, trial and approval.
- Coordinate mould trials and identify mould-related production issues.




- Ensure mould delivery as per the required production schedule.
- Follow up for mould maintenance, repair and spare requirements.

3. Vendor Negotiation

- Identify and develop new vendors for Injection Moulding Machines, Moulds, Spares and Services.
- Obtain quotations from multiple vendors and prepare comparison statements.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, delivery period, warranty, AMC and service charges.
- Finalize vendors based on quality, price, delivery and service capability.
- Maintain good business relationships with existing vendors.
- Resolve vendor-related quality, delivery and service issues.

4. Purchase & Commercial Activities

- Prepare purchase enquiries and collect technical/commercial quotations.
- Compare quotations and submit recommendations to Management.
- Negotiate the best commercial terms before purchase approval.
- Prepare and follow up on Purchase Orders.
- Monitor material/machine delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with Accounts regarding payment terms and vendor payments.
- Maintain vendor records, quotations, POs and other purchase documents.

5. Production & Quality Coordination

- Coordinate with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Stores and Purchase departments.
- Ensure machines, moulds, spares and services are available as per production requirements.
- Support the Production team in reducing machine downtime and production losses.
- Coordinate with Quality for moulding defects and process-related issues.
- Follow up with vendors for corrective actions when required.

- Good analytical and quotation-comparison skills.
- Ability to negotiate cost and delivery schedules.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and ERP systems.
- Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and vendors.
- Willingness to travel to vendor locations when required.
