JOB DESCRIPTION – SMT MOUNTER OPERATOR

Job Title: SMT Mounter Operator
Department: Production / SMT
Location:Surajpur, Greater Noida
Reporting To: Production Supervisor / SMT Line In-charge

Job Summary

Responsible for operating and monitoring SMT (Surface Mount Technology) mounter machines for accurate placement of electronic components on PCBs, while maintaining production quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate SMT mounter machines as per production requirements and work instructions.
- Load and verify component reels, feeders, PCBs, and other required materials.
- Set up feeders and ensure correct component placement according to the machine program.
- Monitor machine operation and identify placement errors, component shortages, or machine abnormalities.
- Perform basic machine adjustments and troubleshooting as instructed.
- Check component placement and PCB quality during production.
- Follow the approved SMT program, BOM, work instructions, and production schedule.
- Maintain proper ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) protection and follow clean-room/production-floor requirements.
- Maintain 5S, cleanliness, and safety standards around the SMT line.
- Record production quantities, defects,



machine issues, and material consumption as required.
- Coordinate with the SMT Engineer, Line Leader, QA/QC, and Maintenance team for production and quality issues.
- Follow all company safety, quality, and discipline policies.

Required Skills

- Basic knowledge of SMT production and PCB assembly.
- Ability to operate SMT mounter equipment.
- Basic understanding of electronic components and PCB placement.
- Ability to read component labels, part numbers, and basic production documents.
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify placement defects.
- Willingness to work in shifts.
- Ability to follow SOPs and work instructions.

Qualification & Experience

- Education: ITI / Diploma / 12th pass or equivalent.
- Experience: 6–1 years of experience in SMT/PCB manufacturing preferred.

Pay: ₹13,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
