Established in Delhi in 2023, the firm is expanding its retainer-based compliance services across India from its Rohini, Delhi office.

Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based at VD JAIN & CO. in Delhi, India, focused on handling compliance and accounting work for Indian startups and SMEs. The Accountant will manage day-to-day GST, TDS, and ROC compliance, including preparing and filing returns, maintaining accurate records, and supporting statutory audits and assurance engagements. Responsibilities include bookkeeping, ledger reconciliation, payroll calculations, and assisting with monthly and annual closing activities. The role also involves preparing working papers, responding to client queries, coordinating with the internal team for timely deliverables, and maintaining clear, professional communication with assigned client accounts. The Accountant will support process improvements, ensure adherence to regulatory timelines, and contribute to high-quality, reliable service delivery.

Qualifications

- Experienced Accountant with 2–3 years of experience at a CA firm.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, bookkeeping,



and ledger reconciliation, with practical experience in Tally, BUSY or similar accounting software.
- Hands-on experience in GST compliance (returns, reconciliations), TDS calculations and filings, and ROC-related documentation and statutory filings.
- Exposure to statutory audit and assurance procedures, including preparation of schedules, working papers, and support for audit queries.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other office productivity tools for data analysis, reporting, and maintaining compliance trackers.
- Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and ability to manage multiple client deadlines in a structured, organized manner.
- Clear, professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Relevant academic background such as B.Com, M.Com, or equivalent.
- Ability to work on-site in Delhi, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate integrity and a client-focused mindset.
