Store Manager – Readymade Garments Retail Shop

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced, responsible and trustworthy Store Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our readymade garments retail shop.

The Store Manager will be responsible for store operations, cash handling, inventory management, staff supervision, customer service, security and overall store performance.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the overall day-to-day operations of the retail store.
- Handle the cash counter, billing, daily cash transactions and cash reconciliation.
- Supervise, manage and coordinate with all store staff and employees.
- Monitor staff attendance, discipline, performance and responsibilities.
- Manage inventory and stock, including receiving, checking, storing and movement of goods.
- Monitor stock levels and ensure proper stock availability while minimising shortages, damage and wastage.
- Maintain accurate records of sales, stock, cash and daily store activities.
- Ensure the store remains clean, organised and customer-ready at all times.
- Monitor customer service standards and resolve routine customer and staff issues professionally.
- Ensure proper store opening and closing procedures are followed every day.
- Maintain the security and safety of the store, cash, inventory, equipment and other company property.
- Handle and coordinate the maintenance and servicing of store equipment, including billing machines, POS systems, computers, printers, CCTV and other devices.
- Coordinate with technicians and vendors whenever repairs or maintenance are required.
- Prepare and report daily sales, cash, stock and operational updates to management.
- Identify and report any operational issues,



discrepancies or unusual activities promptly.
- Take complete responsibility for the smooth, efficient and disciplined functioning of the store.

Candidate Requirements

- Previous experience as a Store Manager, Retail Manager or Shop Manager is preferred.
- Experience in readymade garments, fashion or retail will be an advantage.
- Positive knowledge of cash handling, billing, inventory management and staff supervision.
- Strong organisational and people-management skills.
- Good communication and customer-handling skills.
- Responsible, trustworthy, disciplined and detail-oriented.
- Basic knowledge of computers, POS systems and billing software is required.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment and long retail hours.
- Candidates residing in or around Bandra, Mumbai will be preferred.
- Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000 per month, depending on experience and suitability.

Working Hours: 10:30 AM – 9:30 PM

Weekly Off: 2 days per month

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate should be someone who can independently manage the store, lead the staff, maintain proper cash and inventory controls, handle customers professionally and ensure that the store operates smoothly every day.

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
