Job description:

Core Responsibilities

Hardware Maintenance: Regular servicing and "break-fix" repair of desktops, laptops, printers, and servers.

Asset Management: Maintaining an up-to-date inventory of all hardware, serial numbers, and warranty statuses.

Installation & Setup: Formatting new systems, installing OS (Windows/Linux), and setting up workstations for current employees.

Network Hardware: Managing physical network components like routers, switches, access points, and LAN cabling (crimping/patching).

Peripheral Support: Troubleshooting scanners, biometric attendance machines, CCTV cameras, and thermal printers.

Vendor Coordination: Acting as the point of contact for hardware under warranty and managing external repair vendors.

Key Troubleshooting Tasks

Power Issues: Testing SMPS,



UPS batteries, and motherboard power rails.

Performance Tuning: Upgrading RAM/SSDs and performing thermal paste applications to prevent overheating.

Connectivity: Resolving physical layer issues (broken ports, faulty cables, or Wi-Fi dead zones).

Data Recovery: Basic recovery from failing hard drives or swapping components to retrieve critical data.
