Job Description – Senior Medical Coder (ED Facility)

Position: Senior Medical Coder – ED Facility
Location: Work from Office (Hyderabad)
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking experienced and certified Senior Medical Coders specializing in Facility Emergency Department (ED) Coding. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of emergency department coding guidelines, Level 2 Trauma Center coding, and relevant AHIMA/AAPC coding standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Review and assign accurate medical codes for Facility Emergency Department services.
- Ensure coding accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable coding guidelines and regulations.
- Analyze medical records and clinical documentation to determine appropriate diagnosis and procedure codes.
- Handle coding for emergency department cases, including cases related to Level 2 Trauma Centers.




- Maintain productivity and quality standards as per organizational and client requirements.
- Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines, regulations, and industry standards.
- Coordinate with internal teams and resolve coding-related queries as required.

Requirements:

- Education: Science Graduate or Postgraduate.
- Experience: Minimum 4+ years of experience in Facility Emergency Services Coding.
- Certification: Active AHIMA or AAPC certification is mandatory.
- Examples: CPC, CCS, or other relevant certifications.
- Robust knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, coding guidelines, and compliance requirements.
- Good analytical skills and attention to detail.
