Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist with a minimum of 4 years of experience to provide high-quality respiratory care during the night shift. The candidate will be responsible for assessing patients, administering respiratory treatments, managing ventilatory support, and responding to respiratory emergencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess and monitor patients with respiratory disorders and critical conditions.
- Provide respiratory treatments, nebulization, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
- Operate and manage ventilators, BiPAP, CPAP, and other respiratory equipment.
- Monitor patients on mechanical ventilation and identify changes in respiratory status.
- Perform airway suctioning and assist with intubation/extubation procedures as required.
- Respond promptly to respiratory emergencies and code situations during night shifts.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document respiratory care provided.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly maintained, cleaned, and ready for use.
- Follow hospital infection-control, safety, and clinical protocols.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist.
- Relevant degree/diploma in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical ventilation and airway management.
- Experience in ICU, emergency, or critical-care settings preferred.
- Ability to work independently during night shifts.
- Good communication, clinical assessment, and emergency-response skills.
- Relevant skilled registration/licensure as applicable.
